The Venetian Las Vegas Review

We recently stayed at the Venetian Las Vegas for our recent stay, and they did not disappoint! Venetian is an all suites resort at the mid-north end of the Las Vegas strip across from the Mirage and Treasure Island resorts and Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum is connected to the front. It’s in a nice location, a quick walking distance to the Linq Promenade, or Fashion Show Mall, but Venetian by itself has a ton to offer!

Venetian Las Vegas

The Venetian, as it’s name suggests is a Venice Italy themed resort, with marble finishes, gorgeous art everywhere you look and don’t forget to look up because the ceiling murals are amazing, they pay close attention to every little detail here and it shows! When you walk into the lobby you may find a violinist, guitarist, or Harp player entertaining guests by the lobby fountain. These entertainers gladly allow for photos, and are very talented a pleasant way to make a short check in wait go by.

We checked in early at 930am and upgraded our room to a strip view. They were able to get us into a room immediately, which is so nice after an early morning and a four hour flight!

Our room was awesome! This is an all suites resort and this was a King suite. When you walk in the bathroom is to your right marble floors, mirrors for days, a nice size shower, bathtub, double sink and makeup vanity area with a separate water closet for the toilet.

From there you walk into the bedroom area with King sized bed, bedside stands, large tv, and a dresser.

A little further and you take two steps down into a sunken living room with pull out sofa, two comfy chairs, a desk, and dining table. The buffet under the tv in the living room is not particularly useful…they added a charge tray on top with water and snacks, and the only refrigerator in the room was full of drinks with charge sensors on them. There was not a separate refrigerator for your own cocktails, mixers, beer etc…which is surprising for a resort of this caliber. Any of the snacks and drinks in the room if removed or bumped will automatically get charged to your room and they are EXPENSIVE! Think $14 for a bottle of water! We set up our own items on top of the buffet and relied on ice to chill things! The room itself though was great!

Aside from the lack of refrigerator space (a forgiveable sin) we were not impr0essed with our “strip view”. Typically a strip view will bring you a little glitz and glamour at night with the lights of Las Vegas to Ooo and Ahhh over. This was well…not that.

We had what I would consider a pool view room. We could see the top of the Treasure Island resort, the corner of the Mirage, and bit of Fashion Show Mall. It was underwhelming to say the least, especially since this was a $50/night upgrade! I emailed my discontent to the guest services department and they returned my call within 24 hours. They were apologetic and offered to take off our resort fees, which washed the additional cost of the upgrade a perfectly acceptable compromise. Overall I was very happy with the prompt response to my email, and willingness to help a customer A++ for customer service!

On that note I have to mention that the staff here is awesome! Everyone was friendly, conversational, professional, and attentive!

Aside from the room The Venetian boasts an area called the Grand Canal Shops. This is a shopping and dining area between the Venetian and the Pallazzo Resorts.

Grand Canal Shoppes

This area includes the Gondola ride experience that takes you through and around the resort properties. There is a very casual affordable food court, we were able to get two breakfast sandwich and two coffees for less than $20, which in Vegas is a great price! There are also some casual sit down dining areas including Italian, Burgers, and Pub style Foods in this area of the resort. And lots of great shopping there too!

Another area to eat at the Venetian is Restaurant Row, this is a connector between Venetian and Pilazzo and is also where you’ll find the resort theatre’s and entertainment. The restaurants here include your fine dining options like Wolfgang Puck’s Cut restaurant.

If you like gaming you will love the Venetian Casino! One the best casino floors in all of Las Vegas! It boast spacious tables, tall ceilings, and is sparkling clean everytime I have ever been there! You will love it!!

Overall I highly recommend the Venetian Las Vegas, very comfortable and clean, friendly service from a great staff, a nice location, and a ton of dining, and entertainment options. This one checks all the boxes folks! Enjoy!
