We made it a point to visit the pool during this visit. I called ahead to inquire about mask rules etc…because let’s be honest no one wants to wear a mask at the pool.
As mentioned in the my previous review of the Put-In-Bay Waterfront Condos the pool there was small and did not have a bar or music. Also, during the week it was packed with small splashing kids. (Nothing wrong with that just not our scene!)
So we did a little research and found Mist Pool Bar at the Commodore Resort was open and available to the public. As was the case with a couple of other area pools.
Mist has an on sight bar as well as a swim up bar, a gorgeous tiki pool feel with a waterfall feature. DJ booth, cabana’s and lots of available sun chairs umbrellas and seating. They do check ID at the door so you must be 21 or older to enjoy this venue!

We attended on a weekday and there was really no crowd, maybe 25-30 people there total. I’m told however that weekends are much busier and although they encourage social distancing it may be difficult to achieve on the weekends, so plan accordingly.
You’ll want to bring your own beach towels, they have readily available restrooms, and lockers.

Because it was a slower time when attended they did not have a live DJ although there was music playing all day, and the swim up bar was not open. However the bartenders were prompt and friendly. They have an amazing frozen energy drink cocktail that is SO good!

Overall a great experience! We ordered pizza from Mr Ed’s (right around the corner) and they allowed us to bring it into the pool deck area. We stayed for more than 5 hours!! It must have been a good time lol!

So if you’re looking for the island pool experience Mist is a must! Enjoy!
