There are plenty of great places to stay in Put-In-Bay and I think we have found our fave!
This was our second stay at the Island Club Rentals, Waterfront Condos. I must say it never dissappoints the finishes and decor are beachy and high end. And that VIEW!! You really can’t beat it!
Our first stay (pre-covid) seemed very similar to this one although our neighbors were much louder and rowdier than those on this stay. Coming during the week is a much more family oriented feel than the party atmosphere of the weekends.
The condos are also a little ways away from the Jet Express Dock and probably a similar distance to the Miller Ferry so plan on a cab ride to get there they were not requiring masks in the taxi’s, they were large enough to spread out and not overcrowded at all, if you wanted to be extra cautious you absolutely could put it on. They have golf cart rental on site. We ordered ours in advance and it was ready to go when we arrived!
The condos have a fully electronic check in. No face to face interaction with staff a big plus under the current Covid-19 guidelines. We confirmed our purchase over the phone put a card on file and prior to our arrival we received a thorough welcome email with all the details we needed and a key code for the door!
The condo was impeccably clean linens and towels were provided. I mention this because Island Club does own some cabin properties in which you have to bring your own linens so read the descriptions carefully! The kitchen was well equipped with dishes, utensils, and cookware. It donned some beautiful quartz countertops, beach glass backsplash, and the light fixtures were so cute!! I could have lived in that little kitchen lol.
We rented a 4 bedroom 3 bath condo for 3nights 4 days. It featured lakefront deck balconies, with clear panels instead of railing spindels, off of the living room and master bedroom and pool view balconies off of the two upstairs guest bedrooms. Plenty of room for a group!
There are plenty of pro’s for renting here. A couple of cons…there is limited staff on sight so if you do need anything you’ll need to call and wait for someone to arrive or hope to catch the maintenance staff in the little office there. Also this is a pricier place to stay so if your on a tight budget this may not be the option for you, but with a group could be more affordable. The pool area is smaller and does not have a bar or dj etc…you can visit a number of other area pools on the island however so this may not be a deal breaker for you.
Overall I would highly recommend this place, it was a welcoming, relaxing stay!
