I spent the day creating a new look for barnwood and baked goods! I hope you like it! I find it’s easier to navigate and puts all the newest content right up front!
Along with my new look here on the site I created…by myself…a new Logo! I think I’m in love I like the font and clean crisp look. It’s so hard to make decisions like this for a hobbiest blog. I mean how much is too much lol.

I’m looking forward to the new year, it’s always my favorite time of year. Setting new goals the thought of starting fresh is awesome! So how about some new resolutions!
I find myself still not in the physical shape I would like to be in so although cliche…I will lose a few stubborn pounds, drink more water, drink less alcohol lol, and generally get to feeling good again! I have lost almost 20lbs in 2017 but I’m still not where I want to be. So onward and upward. Maybe this will open a door to healthy recipes in the “kitchen” on this blog site stay tuned!
Another area of focus for me this year, I will continue to get more organized and I will start to tell people NO! I’m bad about this if someone needs a volunteer or a donation I’m always on board. I still am but sometimes it would push me to the very brink trying to get it all done! So, I will try to be organized to the point that I will better rknow my limitations, help where and when I can but try really hard not to stress myself out so much.
My third resolution, I intend to find more time for my spiritual life. I really miss going to church and the community that comes with having a church family. I’m not going to go into the details of why I stopped going. I use the excuse that my job occupies all my time, but in my heart I think it’s a lot deeper than just a scheduling issue. I will pray more, find time for church, and I will start to rebuild my relationship with God.
So, there it is! I have a lot to do this year! I hope your resolutions are meaningful to your plan for the year, and that 2018 is the best year ever! Thanks for reading!
