We FINALLY had a chance to eat at The Crow’s Nest! The pandemic has been tough on restaurants and bars even large capacity venues like this one! We have tried several times to get in here for dinner, and although there is always plenty of seating they continue to be short staffed creating long waits. On this visit however we were able to get right in and they did not disappoint!
This lovely indoor/outdoor venue is located in Lakeside Marblehead, OH on North Buck Lake Rd. Near Crabby Joe’s Restaurant. Although not directly on the lake, they still make the most of the natural surrounding with outdoor dining and bar areas, comfortable seating, swings, and firepits. It’s a very inviting place! Inside you’ll find a raised bar area and lower seating featuring a beautiful fireplace. And during the summer months there are overhead doors that open up to let the lake breezes in. Being close to the holiday season we were able to appreciate the very elaborate Grinch themed holiday decorations including a huge tree in the entry with it’s own creative whimsy! A really lovely atmosphere all around!
The menu is great! Lots to choose from without being overwhelming. And very reasonably priced considering the quality and portion.
They feature a selection of entree’s from the smoker, as well as traditional meals, and local favorites. I ordered a smokehouse salad with smoked turkey, smoked eggs, and smoked cheddar cheese over a bed of greens with ” Betty’s” dressing. The dressing reminded me of a sweet vinegar catalina dressing very tasty!
Andy enjoyed a smoked meatloaf with two sides. He chose the house coleslaw, and smoked mac and cheese. The meatloaf was VERY good! Well cooked tender, and the rub seasoning was truly delicious with hints of barbecue, smoke, and cinnamon it was really good and we highly recommend you give it a try!
The staff was amazing, friendly, attentive, and contributed so much to our enjoyable meal! We can’t say enough nice things about this place! Be sure to drop in and if you need to and can wait for the service it is well worth it!! I can’t wait to see what The Crow’s Nest offers as a new favorite on my list this coming year. We will definitely be back! Enjoy!
