This past weekend we attended the annual change of watch and Holiday party at the Lakefront Yacht Club, and accomodations were made at the newly renovated Commodore Perry Hotel in Port Clinton, OH.
If you have followed along for awhile you know that majority if my reviews are from the Las Vegas and Port Clinton areas as these are our go to vacation spots! I am super excited to be able to share a stay at the Commodore Perry for a few reasons. First, it’s super conveniently located. It is on Lakeshore Dr. just as you come into the Port Clinton downtown area, it is walking distance to the Jet Express, the beach, and downtown. It also hosts three great venues “Off the Rock” is a poolside bar experience at the hotel that serves food and drinks during the warm weather months, great location, with beach views, “Dock’s Beachside Restaurant” is across the street directly on the beach with indoor/outdoor seating a fantastic view of Lake Erie and on clear days you can see Put-In-Bay, excellent food and drink menus and reasonably priced (I’ll review this one officially in the Spring), and finally a year round restaurant and bar “Mr. Ed’s sports bar and grill” featuring some amazing pizza, and they often host live musicians! So much to do right here at the hotel! An excellent feature.
As I mentioned before The Commodore Perry Hotel has been newly renovated. We had a two queen standard room for the night. It was clean comfortable and definitely looked like it had just been renovated. A very nice room. We even had a little peak of the lake from our room on the third floor.
The room was well appointed with mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. There was also a small coffee bar area in the lobby. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were able to check in on time, no issues with key cards etc… It was pretty seamless!
We enjoyed a live band with some friends at Mr. Ed’s after the Holiday Party and I would definitely stay here again! We had a ton of fun and I can see this being a perfect spot to stay if you were taking the Jet Express to the islands for a day trip! Enjoy!!
