Hamburger steaks with onions and gravy

My journey continues with the keto diet. And yesterday I was researching bread crumb replacements and found out that I can use crushed pork rinds in place of bread crumbs in my recipes! This completly blew my mind and I immediately wondered who first thought of this! Lol! Either way it’s genius and so I immediately put this hack to work in a recipe that I really like as a comfort food now and then. Cheap, easy, and delicious, you can’t go wrong with this one!

Hamburger steaks are delicious, easy, and can be made with varying flavor profiles and gravies. Tonight I made a simple brown gravy and sautéed onions. It was perfect!

Here is what you need!

1.5lb ground beef

1/2c. Crushed pork rinds

1tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

2 eggs

Salt and pepper to taste

1 medium onion chopped

3 Tbsp. Butter

1 can beef broth

1 tbsp almond flour

In a large mixing bowl add beef, pork rinds, garlic powder, onion powder, and eggs. Blend together and form 6 patties.

In a large skillet add butter medium chopped onion and burger patties. Cook patties on medium high heat 3 minutes each side. Remove from pan. Add beef broth and almond flour to make gravy stirring over medium heat until thickened. Add patties back and coat with gravy continue cooking on medium heat 5 minutes. Remove and serve hot! Enjoy!
