A little delayed with this post but here it goes!! Last weekend we attended the Grand Rapids Bourbon Fest (more on that soon), and on the way home we were looking for a local diner or restaurant to have a quick bite for breakfast. We stumbled onto Simply Celia’s in Wayland MI, and let me tell you, it was our lucky day!
This is a small diner and bakery, with up cycled dining room tables filling the main dining room. Making for a cute, cozy, homey feeling place. We were greeted promptly by the friendly staff and perused the menu!

They also offered a daily special which I took full advantage of! I ordered a peach crumble baked french toast, and Andy had a half order of biscuits and gravy and a two stack of Mom’s pancakes! They were delicious!

The peach crumble baked french toast was sweet, creamy, a little buttery, and I ate Every. Single. Bite. Lol!
I also tried a bite or two of Andy’s biscuits and gravy! Some of the best sausage gravy I have ever had!

And “Mom’s Pancakes” were HUGE! Light fluffy, filling, and delicious! Andy enjoyed them and for the first time in recent memory had more food than he could eat!
We highly enjoyed our visit to Simply Celia’s we hope you’ll give them a try too of you find yourself in the area! Enjoy!!
