
Cold winter days have me seeking out all the comfort foods! And swedish meatballs hit the spot today!
These lovelies have an awesome creamy sauce and coupled with the rustic flavors of the orzo they complimented each other perfectly! Here is what you need!

For Meatballs
1/2lb ground beef
1/2lb ground pork
1 small yellow onion chopped
1/4c bread crumbs
1 egg
1/2tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
Combine all ingredients and form into meatballs. Cook on medium high heat in a buttered pan until cooked through. Set aside.
For Sauce
2 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp Flour
1 15oz can of beef broth
1/4 c heavy cream
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
In the same pan that you cooked the meatballs add 2 Tbsp of butter melt and add flour combine well with a whisk. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Allow sauce to thicken. Add meatballs and continue to cook until sauce is thick and creamy and coating the meatballs.
For Orzo
1 c. Sliced fresh mushroom
1 small yellow onion chopped.
1 package of orzo pasta
1/2c chopped flat leaf parsely
Saute Onions and mushrooms and set aside cook pasta until tender add vegetables and parsley. Spoon in about 4 Tbsp of the meatball sauce and stir well.
Put Orzo on plate and top with meatballs and more sauce if desired. Enjoy!
