Sweet Soy Marinated Salmon

Salmon is an awesome protein to work with for dinner. It can take on so many flavors from subtle and light like lemon and dill, to bold and spicy like chili lime or in this case a sweet soy!

I bought skin on Alaskan salmon and skinned it before I marinated the fish. You don’t have to do this but I much prefer taking the skin off before cooking.

This marinade is amazing! It’s a quick one to make and salmon doesn’t take long to pick up all the lovely flavors! Here is what you need!

2-3 medium Salmon filets

1/3c. Low sodium soy sauce

1/3c. Honey

2 Tbsp olive oil

2 tsp ground ginger

3 large cloves of garlic minced

1/2 tsp cracked black pepper

Skin the salmon and set aside.

Blend together remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Once well mixed remove 1/4 c. and set aside for later use.

Place the salmon filets in the marinade turn until well coated. Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes turning once.

To cook heat a large pan with a Tbsp of olive oil to coat the pan. Cook filets 2-3minutes on each side. Use the reserved sauce to baste the filets as they cook. It will create an amazing sticky delicious coating. Once cooked through remove fron heat and serve immediately, I served ours with brown rice and broccoli! Enjoy
