Andy and I made a quick road trip to one of our favorite summer locales tonite. Stopping in Port Clinton, Ohio for dinner before heading back home.
Port Clinton is a fantastic Lake Erie community. With some fun bars, restaurants, and shops. The jet express to the Lake Erie Islands departs out of Port Clinton as well. There is a wonderful sandy beach, bird sanctuary path, and a picturesque little light house. We highly recommend a visit.

After a quick visit by the lake we headed to McCarthy’s Pub to grab a quick bite to eat before heading back.
McCarthy’s is an Irish themed pub (I’m sure the name gives it away) with a friendly staff, a very nice drink menu, and widely varied offering from the kitchen. It has a little something for everyone!

We ordered reuben’s for dinner and had McCarthy’s homemade chips om the side. The Reuben was awesome a nice big sandwhich on marble rye, not at all soggy, with just the right amount of kraut and dressing. It was amazing! And the chips were super crispy, light, and perfectly salted. They served the chips with an onion cream cheese dip. So, so yummy!

We highly recommend you make a visit to McCarthy’s of your in the area. Enjoy!
Oh I’ve gone to McCarthy’s too!!! It’s pretty good right. And their Scotch eggs for breakfast? Just amazing! 🙂
